I started my career as a certified SAP Technology Consultant in early 1996 specializing on release updates, the operations of SAP landscapes (monitoring, change management, disaster recovery and end user support) as well as the analysis and resolution of performance problems. In the following years I collected experience in the implementation and operation of complex software solutions at many customers of various industries at home and abroad.
At SAP I was leading a multitude of proof-of-concepts for large SAP customers (such as Unilever, Lego, AT&T, DHL). In 2006 I founded the Value Prototyping Performance Lab and developed a methodology for the structured execution of complex load tests. At the same time I developed a semantic knowledge management system for the management of life cycles of projects and members of the department including their time recording.
In 2010 I started to focus on Cloud Computing and layed the foundation of Cloud Logistics. In 2011 I was leading the technical part of the pilot for the SAP Demo Cloud and I am working since then as architect and team lead for this new cloud of SAP.
In parallel I was pursuing my interest in artificial intelligence and studied Linguistics and Philosophy with focus on Logic and in 2000 I started my research on machine learning of natural language. I finished my studies with a PhD in 2011.
From April 2014 to January 2019 I worked as Vice President at Virtustream, an Enterprise Class Cloud provider. During that time I worked for two years in Atlanta, GA (USA).
